Noosa Heads rescue: Swimmer stable after being pulled from water
Lifeguards and paramedics have rushed to Noosa Heads to rescue a swimmer who was pulled from the water in a ‘poor condition’.

A man has been rushed to hospital after being pulled from the water “unresponsive” and in a “poor condition” at Noosa Heads.
Surf Lifesaving Queensland Lifeguards and Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics responded to the incident at waters off Claude Batten Drive, Noosa Heads, about 10.30am on Wednesday.
Reports from the scene indicated the man had been spotted “unresponsive” by members of public who alerted authorities.
A Surf Lifesaving Queensland spokeswoman said the swimmer was in a “poor condition” when he was pulled from the water.
She said three lifeguards assisted paramedics following the near drowning.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man, aged in his 40s, was “conscious and breathing” when paramedics arrived.
The man was taken in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
It comes after a boogie boarder drowned on the Gold Coast on Wednesday morning after hitting a sandbank and going into cardiac arrest.
The weather bureau has a severe warning issued for Sunshine Coast waters with abnormally high tides and dangerous conditions whipped up from ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth.
The bureau expects the conditions to ease by Thursday.
