The Easter school holidays are here and there is no shortage of events and things to do across the Sunshine Coast.
From markets to surf competitions and Easter egg hunts, there is enough on to please the locals and tourists.
EUMUNDI MARKETS
Children can enjoy a very special guest visitor The Easter bunny on Saturday, April 8, between 9am-12pm. The Easter market will also feature a colouring in competition and free face painting. There will be plenty of stalls and entertainment for all to enjoy.

LIFELINE BOOKFEST
Lifeline Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Bookfest and clothing sale is being held in Nambour this Easter weekend. Entry is free and books and clothing prices start from 2.450.
Plenty of parking is available for a gold coin donation.

EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA
The stage is set for entertainment at Kings Beach Amphitheatre with live bands, a second-hand clothing market and a movie under the stars planned for Saturday.
Entertainment and the clothing market starts from 3pm, followed by a screening of Peter Rabbit 2 from 6.30pm.
There will also be a special visit from the Easter bunny.

PA AND MA BENDALL SURFING CONTEST
The Windansea Surf Club presents the annual Pa and Ma Bendall Memorial Surfing Contest. This event is one of the longest-running surf contests in Australia. Go along and celebrate the history of Ma and Pa Bendall.

FLICKS IN THE PARK | HOP
This is a special Flicks in the Park Easter screening presented by Visit Coolum and Coolum Business and Tourism. Screening starts around 6:30pm and everyone is encouraged to bring along a picnic blanket. There will be live music and face painting before the event for anyone wanting to come early and there will be classic movie food like popcorn and hotdogs available.

SUNSHINE COAST FANTASY 2023
Hosted by the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Quidditch League, the Sunshine Coast Fantasy Tournament is a homegrown quidditch competition and it is being held again for the first time in three years. Head down to the university to watch players in the fast-paced weekend tournament.

SUNSHINE COAST COLLECTIVE MARKET
There will be lots of local produce, arts, knick knacks and live music at the Sunshine Coast Collective Market. It is suitable for all ages and boast some of the best specialty coffee on the coast.

MEET THE Easter bunny
The Easter bunny will be at the Kawana Shopping World centre over the weekend for the kids to come and cuddle. Photos will be available and there are also free school holiday arts and crafts.

BUDERIM LIBRARY BOOK FAIR
There will be plenty of fiction, nonfiction, children’s books and more at the annual Easter Book Fair this Saturday. Pop down to the Buderim Library to pick up a long weekend read at a great price.

EASTER SUNDAY RACES
An Easter egg hunt, children’s entertainment and amusements are just a few of the things on offer at the races this Sunday, with Easter-inspired events running all afternoon.

COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT
The annual Easter egg hunt at Beerwah is back and there’s plenty of free activities on offer. The Lions Club will be running a breakfast BBQ, as well as a coffee van, craft tent and petting zoo.

EASTER ART EXHIBITION
Coolum Art Collective’s Easter Art Exhibition is taking place this weekend, featuring creations by local artists and artisans. Award-winning artist Garry Dolan will be providing demonstrations for visitors on Saturday.
