The 2021 Noosa Come Together Festival has again reached new heights for buskers around Queensland wanting a shot at international stardom.
With well known artist Tones and I finishing in second place at the 2018 Australian Busking Championships, it is clear why so many performers put their best foot forward.
Event manager Oz Bayldon said it was amazing to see about 70 performers turn out for the event.
"This is the product of five years hard work and it really puts a smile on my face seeing it come to fruition," he said.
"It's good to see so many people out and about and wanting to see some community talent."
The winners of the Noosa busking championships, which is part of the festival, go on to compete in the Australian championship final in Cooma in News South Wales.
Mr Bayldon said money raised from the event would go towards people with disabilities in the community.
He said the turnout from the performers and the crowd had been terrific.
"There's over 70 buskers and performers on show and they range from as young as nine to people in their 70s and 80s," he said.
"People have travelled from all around Queensland to take part in this year's event as I know there's people from Gold Coast, Kenilworth, Stanthorpe just to name a few.
"Each act gets huge exposure from this event which is really good to see."
Mr Bayldon said the crowd had a large part to play in the success of the event.
"The crowd contributes to who they think should win and progress on through our busking dollars," he said.
"It's amazing to see these types of events take shape and doing well."
