THOSE looking to secure a bargain on high-quality corporate wear can do so while supporting an important cause.
Suncoast Community Legal Service is asking for donations of ladies work clothing and accessories to be sold at a warehouse-style sale in early May.
All money raised from the sale will go towards the non-profit organisation that provides quality legal service for those unable to afford a paid lawyer using volunteers and staff.
Suncoast Community Legal Service principal solicitor Julian Porter said the funds would assist their case work services to help the most disadvantaged clients they encountered.
"When you think about it, we do spend a lot of effort in Australia making sure people have access to good health care and education.
"I think access to justice is just as important as those things, because if people don't feel like our justice system is accessible to them, they'll take the law into their own hands,” he said.
Law firms Pippa Colman and Associates, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and CNG Law are collecting the clothing donations, along with Suncoast Community Legal Service at their locations until the end of April.
Pippa Colman and Associates director Sarah Quilliam is a member of the management committee at Suncoast Community Legal Service, and said they were hoping to receive a few thousand clothing items to ensure everyone has a chance to shop 'til they drop.
"It's not going to be the case that the first 20 people in the door scoop up all the good stuff.
"We'll be wheeling racks of clothing out during the day so that everybody has the opportunity to get a good bargain,” she said.
A set date for the sale has not yet been determined, but those interested can head to Suncoast Community Legal Service Facebook page.
