A car that caught alight has sparked a grass fire on the side of a busy motorway on the Sunshine Coast.
Emergency services were called out to the vehicle fire on the Sunshine Mwy on ramp at Pacific Paradise, just after 10.30am.
When the first crew arrived, the fire was extinguished in the vehicle, but not before it had spread to grass on the side of the motorway.
A QFES spokesman said six crews were responding to the incident.
Northbound lanes have been impacted on the Sunshine Mwy towards Noosa, with motorists advised to use an alternative route.
It’s understood nobody was in the car when it caught fire.
