A three-vehicle crash involving a vehicle rollover is causing traffic chaos on the Sunshine Motorway at Coolum Beach.

Emergency services were called out to the three vehicle crash on the Sunshine Mwy northbound, near the Yandina-Coolum Rd roundabout, at Coolum Beach just before 4pm Wednesday, October 25.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were assessing multiple patients following the crash, all believed to be from the car that rolled.

The spokeswoman confirmed no one had been seriously injured, with three children and two adult males all complaining of “pains, bumps and bruises”.

All five were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

It was understood all five were travelling in the same vehicle but investigations were still ongoing into the crash.

A Queensland Police Services spokesperson said traffic is blocked in both directions and witnesses are reporting major traffic jams on both the Sunshine Motorway and David Low Way north to Peregian.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
