A Sunshine Coast woman has built a seven-figure business by filling a gap in the beauty business through her software.

China Coyle, 34, launched her business Beauti Software to offer beauty salons a booking and business management program which includes everything from an integrated Canva interface to a business growth academy.

Ms Coyle said the aim of the software was for small business owners to minimise time spent on designing and marketing to make way for time spent on clients, growing their brand or their personal life.

The overall value of her business was in the seven-figure range, Ms Coyle said.

Ms Coyle built her own salon from the ground up from the age of 19 but shifted towards strategy and coaching, eventually working with beauty businesses across Australia and overseas.

It was during this time Ms Coyle noticed the lack of software available for the beauty industry.

She said there were many software offerings on the market, but none catered to beauty specifically.

Ms Coyle found funding for her project about three and a half years ago and it took her two and a half years to build the program.

She launched Beauti Software to the public one year ago.

Her program was “very well-received” due to the gap in the market and the business experienced great growth, Ms Coyle said.

She estimated more than 150 beauty business owners use the software Australia-wide.

As someone more trained in beauty than tech, developing her business meant a lot of learning in software and coding for Ms Coyle.

The Sunshine Coast resident has only been living in the region for a few years but has connected with various business groups and salons.

Ms Coyle said a small community of salons had formed on the Sunshine Coast, and they sometimes met for filming days and to support each other in content creation.

Her business is experiencing a massive growth phase and has just welcomed a new development team, with new features “nobody has on the market” coming soon.

Ms Coyle hopes to expand to New Zealand before eventually hitting the UK.
