A boutique new unit development has been proposed for the heart of Buderim.

Plans have been formally lodged to transform an 815sq block on bustling King Street into a classy block of four, three-bedroom units.

The proposal was lodged with council in late-September.

Planning documents showed high-end designs of the project, which was about 2km from the heart of the Buderim town centre.

The two-storey units each came with their own private spaces and were set to add to the housing mix in one of the region’s most desired postcodes.

Latest figures revealed median unit prices in Buderim has shot up by almost $200,000 over the past decade and the growth showed few signs of slowing at present.

Council planners were now in the assessment process of the project, which was submitted as a code-assessable development by consultants on behalf of proponents Back Teeth Pty Ltd and its directors Christopher and Karen Carter.
