Sunshine Coast property: Buderim commercial opportunity opens up in main street

A rare commercial property has opened up in Buderim’s main street with a prime site set to change hands for the first time in more than 15 years.

Property prices surge through lockdowns

A commercial property in the heart of Buderim’s main street is poised to change hands for the first time in more than 15 years.

A two-level property at 52 Burnett Street has hit the market with CBRE Sunshine Coast’s managing director Rem Rafter tasked with the sale via an expression of interest campaign.

Investors were expected to pounce on the opportunity.

The property was made up of three lots, two vacant and one currently secured with a three-year lease to medical practice.

The 301sq m property which boasted a net lettable area of 196sq m was on the western side of Burnett Street in a high-profile spot alongside banks, real estate agencies, restaurants, clothing stores and other offices.

Mr Rafter said the building had been “fully let since the early 1990s”.

The expressions of interest campaign was due to close at midday on September 1.

Mr Rafter expected significant interest in the property with more than 42,000 engaged buyers scouring the Buderim market in March, according to realestate.com.au.

The opening comes as property prices continued to soar across the region.

A bidding war broke out in Sunshine Beach on July 31 as purchasers duelled it out past the $9m mark for a home while land releases in new estates across the region were being sold out almost instantly.
