A man in his 30s was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after suffering burns to his arm, legs, and upper torso in a backyard fire incident at Lake Macdonald.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said it happened about 3.35pm on Sunday.

“He has burns to one arm, both legs, and a bit of upper torso,” the spokeswoman said.

She said the man was transported in stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
