A Nambour woman has found herself back in court for a string of public nuisance offences including threatening to kill bank staff and accusing them of stealing her money.

Alicia Diana Gaudry was sentenced to four months prison and given immediate parole in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 1, 2022.

She pleaded guilty to three charges of public nuisance, three charges of stealing, breaching bail, possessing tainted property and failing to dispose of a syringe.

Police prosecutor Mark Burrell said Gaudry was walking around the front of Ray White in Nambour swearing, rambling and spitting at the floor on May 5, 2022.

When officers arrived at 11.15am she was laying on the floor and members of the public had to walk around.

Gaudry became angry and walked away before police found her at the Beach House Hotel.

The next day, Gaudry was causing a disturbance at the Commonwealth Bank at 9.40am.

Police discovered when they arrived that she had been at the ANZ Bank first where she attempted to withdraw money from her account.

She started to yell, scream and abuse the ANZ bank staff, accusing them of stealing money from her account.

Gaudry was also holding a metal water bottle up while yelling at staff saying, “You have no idea what you’ve done”.

Staff told her to leave and she was then heard outside the Commonwealth Bank branch yelling “I’m going to kill you”.

Commonwealth Bank staff felt unsafe and had to lock the doors until Gaudry was arrested.

Gaudry was also charged with stealing from the Sunshine Plaza on May 7.

Police were called to the shopping centre after Nike staff reported she had stole two singlets from their store.

Officers found her at the bus stop with the two singlets and a bag full of items they suspected had also been stolen including a pillow, sunglasses and socks.

A few days later on May 11, Gaudry was back in Nambour wandering along Ann St carrying a syringe and needle.

Sergeant Burrell told the court Gaudry was walking in front of vehicles that had to stop to not hit her.

She was rambling, making no sense and wouldn’t move off the road even when police arrived.

Gaudry was also caught stealing clothing from stores in Coolum Beach.

Magistrate Rod Madsen said Gaudry had seven pages of criminal history littered with police offences, drinking offences and drug offences.

“It seems to be the case that you were completely off your tree,” Mr Madsen said.

“You clearly have no concept of how you should be behaving.”

Gaudry, who appeared via the video link, said she was pregnant and embarrassed about her actions.
