2023 Sunshine Coast, Noosa private school and tuition fees revealed

As thousands of students prepare to enter a fresh year of schooling families around the region will be doing their own maths to crunch the cost of education.
Several Sunshine Coast and Noosa private schools have released their schedule of fees for 2023, with prices ranging from a couple of thousand dollars to more than $17,000.
Most Catholic schools of the Sunshine Coast and Noosa will charge their Year 12 students between $2000 and $3000 in tuition fees this year.
Private schools have different levies, school excursions and camps, textbook costs and other fees.

The Sunshine Coast Daily has compared only the tuition or school fees of the different private schools and the fees were as available on the schools’ websites as of January 15.
This cost is not reflective of all the fees associated with the schools for the year and many private schools offer a discount for multiple children, so these tuition fees are displayed in the story without the “family” discount.

Independent Schools Queensland chief executive Chris Mountford said the independent sector offered parents “real choice” with the diversity of schools.
“Independent school governing bodies review tuition fee levels every year and carefully consider a wide range of factors, including the circumstances of their families, current and future public funding levels, their current financial situation and the broader economic environment when making their decisions,” Mr Mountford said.
In 2022 more than 140,000 students attended more than 230 independent schools across Queensland, accounting for almost 16 per cent of all school enrolments in the state.
