A BRISBANE student has escaped major injury after being struck by a car in a school zone this afternoon.
It is understood the Indooroopilly State School student was hit in a car park on Taringa Parade about 3.20pm.
An ambulance spokeswoman said the boy was taken in a stable condition with a knee injury to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
Principal Keith Warwick was to issue a letter to parents tomorrow.
The incident follows recent safety concerns about Brisbane school zones, an ongoing battle over a school zone at Macgregor and revelations of hundreds of parking offences in Logan school zones.
