AS HOLLYWOOD film Danger Close chases cast members for its coming production, one South Burnett stuntman wants to be at the forefront of the action.
The producers of the movie, which is based around the Battle of Long Tan and films scenes in Wooroolin later this year, have called for interested cast members to apply.
Rob Sheean plans to answer the call.
The stunt man has emailed producers to express interest in co-ordinating stunts.
"I had a brother who fought in Vietnam so I've got ties with everything and would really like to be involved," Mr Sheean said.
"Now all I can do is sit back and wait.
"Hopefully they'll be interested in working with a local who has relevant skills."
Mr Sheean said he believed the team would be looking for local extras.
"It's usually a simple process," he said.
"Make sure to send current photos though.
"I reckon they'll be looking for extras in their late teens to mid 20s or at least who look that age."
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the film would employ an estimated 120 full-time Queensland crew members, offer 30 principal cast and bit-part roles.
Australian or New Zealand veterans interested in being extras or working on the film can apply by emailing dangercloseveterans@gmail.com and including a head shot photo, age, location, details of service, and any military or civilian qualifications.
Anyone else interested can email dangerclosecasting@gmail.com with a headshot, age, and location.
