Burnett’s highest property sales for 2023 revealed
With no end in sight to the property boom, one Burnett home cracked the million-dollar mark this year, and multiple land sales reached $4million or more. These were the 15 biggest real estate buys of the year and who made them.

The property market across the Burnett has been booming as more and more people relocate into Qld, and from the cities and the coast chasing a better, more affordable lifestyle.
Three of those highest sales were made with Raine and Horne Kingaroy.
Agency principal Jackie Allery said the entire market had been strong throughout 2023.
“The market has remained strong especially in the top end of the market, the nicer homes on acreage,” she said.
Ms Allery said they were seeing a lot of people moving from the cities into the Burnett region.
“We’re finding people are moving here for lifestyle choices. The area offers beautiful lifestyle and is close to the cities but also gives people a beautiful big property less than the city prices ... if they sell their home in the city they can come and purchase an equally nice home here, or a nicer home and end up with some money in their pocket.”
Ms Allery expects the demand to continue throughout 2024 despite the higher interest rates.
“It’s making the marketplace a little nervous but it hasn’t completely stopped it yet.
“There’s more people than houses at the moment ... Demand is greater than the supply so that is keeping our prices up,” Ms Allery said.
“We have seen some investors pull out of their investment homes and sell them because of the recent growth of the value of their homes.”
CoreLogic RP Data records reveal the top 10 prices paid for homes and the top five prices paid for land and farm sales in 2023 for the Burnett.
Vacant blocks of land and sites purchased to be built on by developers have been excluded from the list.
