Three youths have been charged and investigations are continuing into a string of break-ins in Murgon and Cherbourg

Police have been kept busy with a string of break-ins in the Murgon and Cherbourg areas, with three boys charged and investigations continuing.

Three young boys will face court and police are continuing to hunt for more alleged offenders after a string of break-ins across the Murgon region.

Two 12-year-old Murgon boys have been charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence and are to appear at the Murgon Children’s Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police allege that at 5.53pm on October 21, the two boys broke into a Macalister Street business and ransacked the place.

Three days later, its alleged a 13-year-old Cherbourg boy entered a Macalister Street business and stole a food item.

He is due to appear at the Murgon Magistrates Court at a later date.

Investigations are also continuing into a series of separate incidents.

Between 4pm on October 20 and 8.13am on October 21,offenders entered a Barambah Ave, Cherbourg business.

The offenders caused damage to a window while entering.

It is unknown if any property was taken.

Between 8.30pm on October 20 and 8am on October 21, unknown offenders attempted to force their way into a Fisher St, Cherbourg business, causing damage to doors and windows.

It is unknown if any property was taken.

Unknown offenders also gained entry to a hospital facility in Cherbourg and damaged a flyscreen on October 21.
