From a woman police said was erratic and had difficulty staying awake after crashing while under the influence of meth to a mother caught driving unlicensed yet again, this is the latest round of offenders sentenced for breaking the law behind the wheel. FULL LIST HERE:

A third of drink and drug driving offenders come from these two professions

A woman who was while under the influence of meth when she crashed her car and was erratic with officers who tried to help her at the scene was just one of the residents sentenced in court recently for unlawful behaviour on the roads.

Officers found Kathryn Lee Peters in her damaged car on the side of the motorway at 2.10am.

After moving her and the car to a safe area, the officers tried to speak with Peters, but prosecutor Lisa Manns told the Kingaroy Court Peters’ behaviour was bizarre.

“She would scream, cry and then fall asleep before waking and continuing her erratic behaviour,” Sgt Manns said.

She was taken to hospital and blood test later showed she had methylamphetamine in her system.

Peters, who now lives and works in Kingaroy, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs.

She was fined $1000 and disqualified for six months.

Wanting to help out a friend landed Monique Louise Chapman in hot water, with the P-plater caught drink driving.

Chapman was pulled over in Murgon at 12.30am on May 25 and recorded a BAC of 0.054.

She said she drank about 12 bourbons between midday and 9pm that day.

She pleaded guilty to drink driving and was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for a month.

Emma Burnett was caught driving her car in Goomeri on April 10, despite not having a licence.

Murgon Magistrates Court heard the mother was also found to have not ensured a child in her car was restrained, telling police she was driving away from her father following an argument.

She pleaded guilty to failing to ensure a passenger was wearing a seatbelt and driving unlicensed.

Magistrate Andrew Sinclair noted this was her sixth unlicensed driving offence and warned her she was facing much harsher penalties if she continued to offend.

Burnett was fined $1163 and disqualified from driving for six months.

Jakob Clifford Fraser faced court after police found him driving while almost twice the legal alcohol limit in Durong on June 5.

Fraser was intercepted by police on the Chinchilla-Wondai Rd, and told officers he had consumed about seven beers earlier and half a stubbie of rum and cola on the road.

He recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.083, and pleaded guilty to drink driving.

He was fined $500, and disqualified from driving for one month.

Engineering business owner Wade Frahm was also busted drink driving after a big night.

Frahm was pulled over on Turner St, Baloogie, on May 3 with a BAC of 0.064.

The engineer, who had two previous drink driving offences, told the court he had “miscalculated” how many drinks he had the night before and felt fine to drive.

He pleaded guilty to drink driving and was fined $500 and disqualified for one month.
