The case against a 25-year-old Murgon man accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material is slowly moving forward, with his legal team waiting on key evidence.
Solomon Devon Ricky Shan Button is charged with one count of distributing child exploitation material, hidden network/anonymising service, and one count of possessing child exploitation material, hidden network/anonymising service.
Mr Button did not appear in court for his mention and is currently on bail.
His lawyer said “it is very unlikely” the matter would be resolved in any way other than a trial and the defence team was awaiting an investigative police report before it could proceed further.
Crown prosecutor Toby Corsbie said the report contained “protected methodologies” which needed to be redacted before it could be released.
No pleas have been entered.
The case was adjourned for another mention in Kingaroy District Court on Tuesday, May 20.
