A man incensed by what he felt was a dodgy property deal has faced court for telling one real estate agent she was ‘going to die’ and making reprehensible sexual threats about another’s daughter.

What happens when you are charged with a crime?

A man has narrowly avoided spending time in jail after launching a horrific verbal assault on two real estate agents, and exposing his penis to one.

Shane Vanderloos marched down to the Freemans Estates office on February 23, in a rage over the state of the property he and his mother had purchased.

Police told the court one of the victims initially thought she was being robbed when Vanderloos entered the building and yelled, “c---, I want cash now”.

After being told to leave, the Nanango man continued his tirade, telling the agent “I’m going to smash this whole f---ing building up. I’m going to smash your face up”, before issuing a terrifying threat.

“You’re going to die, c---,” he said.

After leaving the office, the agent went to lock the door and watched Vanderloos drop his pants and expose his penis at the office.

A second agent later observed Vanderloos again swearing and approached him, with Vanderloos yelling “you sold me a shit house” and demanding money, before making a vile comment to the man.

“Have you got a daughter? I’m going to find her and f--- her in the a---,” he said.

Vanderloos front Kingaroy Magistrates Court on November 2, and pleaded guilty to threatening violence, public nuisance and wilful exposure.

Hi lawyer Chris Campbell told the court Vanderloos and his mother had bought the property for $220,000 while a tenant had been residing there, but when the tenancy expire the property was left in a terrible state.

“The purchase of this property, Your Honor, resulted in tons of rubbish having to be removed. Many faulty aspects of the house including plumbing wiring … no waterproofing in the wet areas, etc,” Mr Campbell said.

He claimed there were discussions that the agent would reimburse Vanderloos for the removal of the rubbish and assist with the repairs, but that later the agent “reneged on his word”

Acting magistrate John Milburn described Vanderloos behaviour as “disturbing”.

Vanderloos was sentenced to 9 months in jail for the threatening violence charge, with immediate parole.

He was convicted and not further punished on the remaining charges.
