Manslaughter charge after boy dies of snake bite at Murgon
A year after a boy died after suffering a snake bite at a Queensland property, a man has been charged with manslaughter for allegedly failing to seek medical attention.
A man has been charged with manslaughter 12 months after the sudden death of an 11-year-old-boy at Murgon.
Operation Uniform Weft was established to investigate the boy’s death on November 21 at a Murgon property.
Police will allege the 31-year-old Murgon man failed to seek medical attention after the boy reported being bitten by a snake.
The man and boy were known to each other, a statement from the Queensland Police Service said.
The 31-year-old man is due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on December 6.
