South Burnett Women President Caroline Cavanagh has been busy organising another international women's day event for South Burnett educators and school girls.

The Butterfly Effect involves workshops for year nine girls and an Educators Night.

Ms Cavanagh has enlisted Enlighten Education Program Director Storm Greenhill-Brown to run these workshops and speak at Educators Night.

Ms Greenhill-Brown said the Butterfly Effect program has explored topics such as pushing the girls to discover their inner beauty, maintaining friendships, and developing business ideas.

"Rather than telling girls what to do, we're aiming to inform, inspire and empower them. We want to encourage these young teens to be discerning consumers, critical thinkers and find

their own voice and power in a complex world,” Ms Greenhill-Brown said.

Ms Cavanagh's Educators Night provides opportunities for educators to network and discuss the issues school girls face.

The event is about finding how educators can best empower and support their female students.

"The dinner and the schools program had been generously supported this year....we're very grateful,” Ms Cavanagh said.
