Group hurls racist insults at store employee

Police officers from Kingaroy have responded to three separate property offences between January 7 and January 13

KINGAROY police officers from have responded to three separate property offences between January 7 and January 13.

OnMonday, January 7 at 6.05pm a group of men entered a business on Avoca St and directed racial insults at an employee who was working there.

The men were asked to leave the store. As they left they spat on the door, before knocking over an electric bike and causing damage to the rear storage compartment.

The men then ran east along Avoca St. Investigations are on going.

On Monday, January 7 at 10pm a man allegedly entered a property on Kingaroy St and stole a black and green mountain bike.

The bike has since been located.

The 18-year-old man has been charged with stealing the mountain bike and is set to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 4.

Sometime between 6pm Friday, January 11 and 8am Saturday, January 12 an unknown person entered a residence on Markwell St.

They stole a set of keys from inside the house before leaving the residence.

The offenders then returned at 1.40am Sunday, January 13 and used the stolen keys to attempt to enter the dwelling again.

This alerted a resident of the property, who then chased the offender from the property.

Kingaroy Police are still investigating.
