The company is also giving away two individual business mentorship opportunities.

Optus Business vice-president Sean Casey said the company recognised the current economic landscape was challenging for many Aussie small businesses.

“We see tech grants and mentorship opportunities as a way to not only support small and medium sized businesses' today, but future proof them by providing technology solutions and knowledge to continue to evolve their business in the way they want,” Mr Casey said.

“The scheme is designed to support business owners in Kingaroy and South Burnett by integrating flexible and modular business technology solutions designed specifically for SMBs,” he said.

The successful recipients of the one on one sessions will be mentored by Jo Burston, founder and CEO of Inspiring Rare Birds, and Jamal Elsheikh who is the founder of One Love Australia.

The winners will also receive a $5000 tech grant.

Ms Burston said she was excited to work with Kingaroy and South Burnett small businesses by providing advice and learnings from her own career.

Founder of regional NSW producer, Fresh Fodder, Max Schofield said grants like these were a welcome support.

“It's been tough to be in business the last 12 to 18 months, with the economic pressure of interest rates being felt by regional communities and businesses,” Mr Schofield said.

“These grants will help to set up tech business solutions to ensure you are setting your business up for success now and into the future.
