Multiple firefighter crews rushed to battle a blaze on the side of Chinchilla Wondai Road after a car exploded Wednesday afternoon.
The car burst into flames at Gordonbrook, north of Kingaroy, just before 2pm.
Five fire crews, police and paramedics were called to the scene.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the car exploded near Melrose Road and spread to the surrounding grassland.
It is currently unclear how the fire started.
One lane of traffic along Chinchilla Wondai Road was closed with police directing traffic.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said no one was injured in the fire.
