Paramedics are working to stabilise a person trapped in a vehicle after a horror crash in the Burnett.

Emergency crews were called to Mundubbera Durong Rd at Durong just after 10am following reports a car had slammed into a tree.

A QAS spokesman confirmed a male person was trapped inside the vehicle, and crews were working to stabilise him.

A rescue helicopter has been tasked to the scene.
