South Burnett residents aged 16 and over will be able to get Pfizer vaccines at new pop-up Covid vaccination clinic in Murgon

“Protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community”: Pfizer vaccines will be available for all South Burnett residents this week at Murgon PCYC. Full details here:

South Burnett residents aged 16 and over will be able to score a Covid-19 Pfizer jab at the Murgon PCYC this week.

The clinic will be set up on:

• Wednesday 11am to 3.20pm

• Thursday 9am to 3.20pm

• Friday 9am to 12.50pm.

Vaccinations will be provided in line with current Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation recommendations and guidelines.

Everyone aged 16 years and above is encouraged to attend the vaccination clinic, however, Darling Downs Health remind residents over 60 years that AstraZeneca is the preferred vaccination for that age group.

“Pre-registration helps us to get through the line quicker on vaccination days,” Executive lead for Darling Downs Health Emergency Operations Centre Annette Scott said.

“If, however, you have problems with this online form, there will be staff available on the day to help you with the process.

“The vaccination is safe and is free. It is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community.”

Registrations can done online via www.vaccinebookings.health.qld.gov.au. When registering online select “any other eligible criteria” to complete your form.

If you plan to attend the clinic, please bring ID, your Medicare card, and a pen.

People who have received one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine should receive a second dose of AstraZeneca and NOT a Pfizer vaccine.

If you’re unsure which vaccine you have received, or have any other questions about the vaccine, talk to a doctor or health care worker.
