Child, two adults in 40s, transported to Kingaroy hospital after two vehicle crash

A primary-school aged child and two adults have been taken to hospital after firefighters had to cut through a car following a crash in the South Burnett.

Three patients, including a primary-school aged child, have been transported to Kingaroy Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported around 8.10am, at the intersection between Edward and John St.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Service said the patients were a male and female in their 40s and a boy.

When firefighters arrived on scene, two passengers were out of the vehicle, while one was still trapped and needed crews to use hydraulic cutting gear to remove them from the vehicle.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the woman was experiencing back pain, while the others were being treated for minor injuries.

All patients were transported to Kingaroy Hospital.

Police were also on scene, diverting traffic from the crash until the cars were towed away.
