A MEDICAL centre and bottleshop are proposed as part of changes for the Murgon IGA shopping complex.

The development application was approved during the South Burnett Regional Council's September meeting.

A total of 26 external carparking spaces are proposed to be removed to become the location of the proposed medical centre at the IGA complex at 113-117 Lamb St.

There will also be the inclusion of a 130sq m tenancy adjacent to the IGA entrance for a bottleshop.

Councillor Terry Fleischfresser said the application to extend the shopping complex was encouraging.

"This demonstrates we are achieving such good developments in current times," he said.

Cr Kathy Duff said it was good the changes were happening.

"It's good stuff and the issue of the carparking is to be resolved with the medical centre," she said.
