A woman has suffered serious injuries and was left in a critical condition and another man was flown to hospital following two shocking South Burnett crashes overnight.
The woman was driving on Wondai Proston Rd at Kawl Kawl when her car rolled just before 8pm on Monday.
Paramedics transported the driver, aged in her 20s, to a nearby sports field where they were met by the rescue chopper.
The woman was treated for serious injuries to her head and abdomen and flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
It was only hours later that a B-double truck ran off the Burnett Highway at Johnstown, northwest of Kingaroy, and rolled.
The LifeFlight chopper was tasked to the scene just after midnight on Tuesday and landed on the highway, which had been closed due to the rollover.
The male driver, aged in his 30s, was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a significant pelvic injury but in a stable condition.
There were no other occupants in either of the vehicles.
