During a rough year of hospital visits, Burnett’s cheekiest toddler has been a light for her family while they have grappled with her father’s new life changing diagnosis.
Despite the family’s upheaval, often travelling to Brisbane for her dad Ryan Cotton’s treatment after a spinal infection left him paraplegic, three-year-old Arlia Cotton from Kingaroy never fails to show her cheeky side.
“Anyone who knows this girl knows I am not lying about cheeky,” her mum, Bronte Griffiths said.
“Arlia keeps us all on our toes!”
With a love of music and dancing, Arlia loves to play by her own rules, always choosing her outfits even if the clothes don’t match.
“She knows what she wants and when,” Bronte said.
“Arlia’s attitude is like a switch she can go from bestie one minute to get away from me the next,” she said.
“We have been staying in hotels every week so she has come to be a bit of a hotel critic as well.”
Owning two dogs at home, Bentley and Bayla, Arlia loves hanging out with them, involving them in her mischievous antics, and sharing her food and toys.
Crowned the region’s cheekiest toddler with a whopping 20 per cent of the votes, Arlia lead the poll with seven votes between her and the runner up, two-year-old Xavier.
