The South Burnett community came together this weekend to celebrate the best of its region’s produce and country traditions at the 114th Annual Kingaroy Show.
The Showgrounds were packed with families and friends looking to checkout the impressive list of attractions lined up for 2022 event, from gravity-defying motocross bikes to carnival games and rides, to the region’s best livestock producers and powerful woodchoppers.
Across Saturday and Sunday Kingaroy was alive with crowds of smiling faces, with the South Burnett National Show Society relieved to bring back the show after so many of the region’s favourite events bit the dust to Covid-19.
Show society president Craig Lucas previously told News Corp an emergency meeting nearly meant the end of the 2022 show, however when the last minute news hit that Queensland would be scrapping the vaccination mandates in time for the event he couldn't believe his eyes.
“I thought it was a dream – I had to pinch myself and it hurt like buggery,” he said.
