To strengthen the sustainability of the local economy, Roma Commerce and Tourism and Origin Energy have partnered.

Origin gives a helping hand to regional growth in the Maranoa.

To support the economic and social health of the Maranoa, Origin Energy has partnered with Roma Commerce and Tourism (RCAT).

RCAT President Charlie Eames said the partnership will allow the organisation to have greater capacity and resources to foster connections and confidence, to support the opportunities of the business community.

“This partnership will strengthen the sustainability of our local economy,” Mr Eames said.

“With Origin’s support, RCAT is establishing a plan for growth and development, focusing on leadership, advocacy, development and promotions which will support the local businesses and the community,” he said.

Origin gives a helping hand to regional growth in the Maranoa.

The partnership will help drive the development of a new five year RCAT strategic plan.

Key objectives include a customer service program, liveability project and the provision of resources and capacity to strengthen the organisation through increased membership to ensure a progressive, proactive and influential organisation into the future.

Origin’s General Manager Dave Atkin said the partnership will help build the liveability and capacity of the regional communities and further showcase their involvement as a significant industry member in the Maranoa.

“This increased financial security and capacity for RCAT means they can plan and execute activities and assist in providing information, resources and development support to local businesses, aiding them to embrace opportunities and growth,” Mr Atkin said.
