Woman fined after high-range speeding on Leichhardt Highway, Taroom
A woman who was busted travelling at break neck speeds on a rural highway has been dealt an enormous fine and instant licence suspension.

A woman has been slapped with an eye-watering fine after she was busted going more than 40km/h over the speed limit.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the 50-year-old Rockhampton woman was caught speeding along the Leichhardt Highway north of Taroom at 142km/h - the posted speed limit was 100km/h.
The police spokesman said the woman from Norman Gardens in the Rockhampton region, was driving a white Holden when she was busted speeding on October 20 at 4.50pm.
She was issued an on-the-spot fine of $1854, and is subject to a six-month high-speed suspension.
