No fan forgotten as award-winning group head west

ROMA isn't the typical place you would find one of Australia's most popular, chart-topping music groups performing their hits.

But Lukas Wildrock from Australia's Got Talent winning pop-group Justice Crew said regional tours are about connecting with fans they would rarely get a chance to meet otherwise.

"We're trying to hit spaces we haven't been to before on this regional tour,” he said ahead of their first ever Roma show tomorrow.

"There are a few places that are all fresh ground. "The reason we do this is because some people aren't able to make it out to the cities or bigger towns.

"When we do turn up to those towns, everybody shows up - It's always a big thing, you can see it in the energy of the crowd.”

Justice Crew formed in 2009 as a dance-troupe before they took Australia by storm in the 2010 when they won Australia's Got Talent.

Since then, the group has expanded into music and has been nominated for eight ARIA Awards.

In 2014, their track Que Sera broke Australian chart history when it became the first Australian act since 1983 to sit for nine weeks at the top of the charts.

"For us it's one of those things where if you do something you love, you never work a day in your life,” Wildrock said.

"For me, my favourite part of touring is getting to meet all the fans one-on-one. A lot of people are really grateful that we come out, otherwise they wouldn't get to see us.

"We've been really lucky that we've been living the dream for the past ten years.”

Justice Crew will perform at the Roma Cultural Centre on Saturday from 6pm. Tickets at the door or via www.ticketbooth.com.au.
