Hebel truck fire: Emergency services rush to vehicle inferno on Castlereagh Highway
Police are investigating the circumstances which led to a truck being engulfed by flames outside a town in the Balonne Shire.

Police are investigating the cause of a mysterious fire that engulfed a truck in the Balonne Shire overnight.
Police, fireys and paramedics were called to the vehicle inferno along the Castlereagh Highway near Hebel Dirranbandi Road about 8.40pm Monday.
A Queensland Fire spokesman said two crews arrived and extinguished the blaze, which had closed one lane of the road.
The spokesman said crews left before midnight once the fire was completely extinguished.
A Queensland Police spokesman said they were still investigating how the truck became engulfed in flames, and couldn’t rule out if it was a crash or mechanical issue.
The male driver of the truck was assessed for minor injuries, but did not require transport to hospital.
