One lane of the Capricorn Highway is closed after a truck rollover involving animals on trailers.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were called at 1.04pm to the accident six kilometres west of Westwood, near the Liechhardt Highway/Dululu turn off.
He said the driver was not injured but there were reports there were animals being transported in trailers.
He said the western bound lane was closed and police were conducting traffic control.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said there were two beasts on board the truck which is currently on its side.
He said a veterinarian was en route to care for the animals.
The QPS spokesperson said QAS also responded to the incident.
It is the second truck crash in Central Queensland this week.
Tracey and Corey Craig were killed when their Nissan Navara was destroyed in a crash involving a truck at Raglan, between Gladstone and Rockhampton on Tuesday night.
Police allege the crash was the fault of a truck driver who failed to slow down.
