Some new stores have opened at Stockland Rockhampton, with Timezone and TK Maxx.
Entertainment and fun centre Timezone opened last week while retail store TK Maxx opened on Thursday.
The Morning Bulletin got a sneak look behind the doors before Timezone's grand opening as staff and builders were on a ticking deadline and mad rush to get everything done in time.
The stores features more than 70 state-of-the-art arcade games from the “latest and greatest” games such as VR Rabbids to classics like Pinball and Space Invaders.
It also has four bowling lanes, two party rooms, the Winner’s Vault and a seven-car Spin Zone Bumper Car arena (the modern version of a traditional bumper car).
The family-friendly fun zone has been designed to suit all age groups.
“Timezone prides itself on our ability to provide safe, inviting spaces that welcome all guests, be they families bonding, friends celebrating, or colleagues bonding,” said General Manager of Timezone and Zone Bowling Australia Kane Fong.
“We are excited to bring our unique brand of entertainment to the Rockhampton community.”
The two dedicated party rooms will allow guests with convenient, easy-to-personalise spaces for celebration from birthday parties to team celebrations, office events or special occasions.
“Timezone’s party rooms have become synonymous with minimum effort, maximum fun parties for all ages,“ said Mr Fong said.
“Parents, especially, will benefit from the ease and convenience of party packages, bookable online, making planning a children’s party, an absolute breeze.”
The store has employed around 30 to 40 persons.
TK Max opened next door this Thursday, September 16.
New amenities have also been completed at the centre near the stores.
