Players in Rockhampton Cricket’s third grade premiership have delivered some impressive performances this season.
Norths Gold’ skipper Blaine Ahern has been a standout with the bat, compiling 299 runs from his six stints at the crease.
The opener’s best performance was 114 not out off 126 balls in his team’s close Round 2 loss to Dawson Valley.
Gracemere’s Shakti Tyagi has been on fire with the ball, the right-arm medium pacer leading the bowling stats with 14 wickets at an average of 9.5.
His figures include 4/19 off eight overs against Gracemere in Round 4 and 5/44 against competition leaders Rockhampton Grammar in Round 6.
Grammar are the reigning champions and are looking well placed to defend their title.
They sit clear on top of the table with 31 points at the halfway mark of the season, having dropped just one of their seven games.
Capricorn Coast and Frenchville are on 22 points, while Brothers White are in fourth on 20 points.
Rocky United, Gracemere, Norths Gold and Dawson Valley Taipans complete the bottom half of the ladder with seven rounds to play.
