Serious arm injury in workplace incident at Fairy Bower, Rockhampton

A man in his 30s has suffered a serious injury to his arm after it was caught in machinery at his workplace, just outside Rockhampton. UPDATES.

A man has been flown to Brisbane after he suffered a serious injury to his arm when it was caught in machinery at a Rockhampton workplace.

Emergency services were called just after 9am on Wednesday February 7, to a business on Old Nine Mile Road in Fairy Bower, just behind the Rockhampton Airport.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated the man in his 30s for the “significant” arm injury.

He was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious condition.

The man was then flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

As of Thursday afternoon, he was in a stable condition.

Police attended and left the matter in the hands of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland advised it was investigating the incident and was not able to provide any further comment.
