A man has been remanded in custody after alleged dangerous driving incidents throughout Rockhampton.

Justin Glen Leo Sauer, 34, has been charged with three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, one of drink driving and one of fraud.

Police allege that about 11.30pm on June 22, a white Ford utility drove at pedestrians along a footpath on William Street in the CBD, before driving through a red-light towards oncoming traffic on George Street.

Police attempted to intercept the utility on Canning Street, but the vehicle allegedly failed to stop.

The vehicle was allegedly involved in several other incidents throughout the night, including a minor collision with another car, driving without lights on, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving towards pedestrians and other acts of alleged dangerous driving.

Police arrested Mr Sauer just before 3.30am on June 23 on Glenmore Road in Park Avenue.

Mr Sauer’s matters were mentioned in Rockhampton Magistrates Court Monday morning and they were adjourned to July 28 for a long plea at 11am.
