Rockhampton is rich in history and each of its heritage listed and looking buildings has its own story to tell.

While the streets may have a new modern look to them, some of their buildings look like they’re stuck in the 19th century, adding to the character and charm of the Beef Capital.

We took a deep dive into images from the Queensland State Archives at some of Rocky’s iconic landmarks dating back as far as 130 years ago and created some interactive comparison photos with how they look today.
