The Rockhampton region has recorded a number of high-end sales in recent weeks, with a three storey home in Taranganba selling for more than $2 million and Norman Gardens recording its highest house sale.
The property at 33 Banksia Place, Taranganba, sold for $2.2 million on October 13.
Principal at Ray White Yeppoon Debbie Lodwick said there was considerable interest from buyers in New South Wales, Victoria and locally.
Ms Lodwick said there were multiple offers on the property, with it selling within a few weeks of it hitting the market.
“It is a big, beautifully built home with amazing 180 degree ocean views,” she said.
She said the buyers of the property were from Western Queensland.
The architecturally designed, three storey home boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and wall to wall ocean and island views.
Marble and travertine tiles lead through to the open plan family room, designer kitchen and then on to the pool deck and in-ground pool on the middle level.
Also located on the level is a formal dining room, office, powder room, triple car accommodation, laundry and workshop area.
The first floor features most of the bedrooms, as well as another family room that leads to a private deck.
The lower level is completely self-contained and fitted out with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, bedroom, and wine cellar.
The property is one of many homes on the Capricorn Coast that have sold for more than $1 million recently, including 43 Todd Avenue, Yeppoon, which sold for $1.24 million on September 30.
Other high-end sales include 14 Strow Street, Barlows Hill, which sold for $825,000 on October 25 and 35 Banksia Place, Taranganba, which sold for $900,000 on October 8.
The North Rockhampton suburb Norman Gardens recorded its highest house sale recently with 21 Ridgedale Avenue selling for $916,500 on October 15.
Ms Lodwick said she had really good interest in the property before it sold, especially southern interest.
However, she said the property was purchased by a Rockhampton buyer.
The architecturally designed property has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three separate indoor living areas, a bespoke kitchen with Corian and stainless steel benchtops, double car accommodation with storage and a workshop area, and views of the neighbouring national park.
The price was also recently revealed for a 1920s home that sold in The Range in April.
The property at 8 Lennox Street sold for $1.5 million.
The property boasts five bedrooms, three bathrooms and sweeping 270 degree views of Rockhampton.
There have been a number of high-end sales recorded in The Range recently, including 19 Wiseman Street which sold for $775,000 on October 15 and 269 Agnes Street which sold for $825,000 on October 1.
