Only three out of 12 lots remain up for grabs at the former Central Queensland Cement site in North Rockhampton, including a multimillion-dollar lot that houses six iconic concrete silos.
JRT Group purchased the vast parcel of industrial-zoned land beside the Bruce Highway at 777 Yaamba Road, Parkhurst, in 2018 for $1.6 million.
The property was put on the market by Rockhampton’s Knight Frank on behalf of Sibelco in 2017 after laying dormant for the past decade after previous use as a cement plant by Cement Australia.
JRT Group has redeveloped the site into a premier industrial estate, Lily Place, levelling most existing structures except the six silos.
Lot 12 at 777 Lily Place, Parkhurst, which houses the six silos, has been listed for sale for $6.6 million through Knight Frank Rockhampton.
Lots 1–8 and Lot 11 have already sold.
“It was a subdivision and there were 12 lots and we have sold all but three of those lots,” Knight Frank Rockhampton principal and commercial sales consultant Neale Crow said.
“There are only three lots left, Lots 9 and 10, which are vacant high impact zoned land, and Lot 12 which has the silos on it and shed and office space on a 40,000 sqm block of land.”
Currently there are four businesses operating out of the site.
Four of the structures on the site include two stand-alone office complexes, a third office with a warehouse and mezzanine, and a shed.
There is also 500 sqm dedicated to a weigh bridge and 410 sqm for the fuel storage for a transport company.
The site is visible from the Bruce Highway and has a high impact zone which allows for a variety of uses.
“It would suit someone in transport or anyone who needs a heavy impact zoning for their business,” Mr Crow said.
“The whole site was initially Central Queensland Cement and has been developed.
“What you have got left there now is usable sheds and some office space.
“It is heavy impact zone on the corner of the new bypass road.
“It is logistically a very good location for any company to have.”
Lot 9 is listed for sale for $1.55 million and Lot 10 for $2.568 million.
