Two Rockhampton juveniles entered pleas of guilty to over 40 charges including robbery and stealing cars

Two Central Queensland teenagers who carried out a robbery at a bottle shop have been held in detention awaiting sentence for more than 40 charges ranging from stealing alcohol to assaults and even stealing cars. Read their full list of offences here.

Police chase down teen after luxury cars allegedly stolen

Two teenagers who carried out a robbery at a bottle shop have been held in detention awaiting sentence for more than 40 charges ranging from stealing alcohol to assaults to stealing cars and carrying out full drive offs.

The pair, who cannot be identified due to their ages, entered pleas of guilty to all charges in Rockhampton District Court on January 28 and their sentences were adjourned until February 16.

They both pleaded guilty to robbing Bob’s Bulk Booze on July 3, 2021, and pushing a woman to the ground to escape.

The first offender also pleaded guilty to the following offences from 2021:

  • stole cement sealant from a discount store on May 26;
  • stood guard while four of his friends stole alcohol from BWS in Frenchville on May 31;
  • assaulted a security guard by barging at them as they entered the teen’s cell in the Cleveland Detention Centre on August 11;
  • assaulted a second guard on August 11 by headbutting them while they tried to restrain him at the detention centre;
  • assaulted a third guard on August 11 by swinging a punch;
  • entered a dwelling and stole a phone, cigarettes and other items on May 28 at Park Avenue;
  • stole alcohol from Liquorland at Stockland Rockhampton on June 26;
  • obstructed police by running away from police in Rockhampton on July 4;
  • possessed a Looney Tunes shirt suspected stolen from Cotton On in Rockhampton on July 4;
  • stole two bottles of Bundaberg Rum from Star Liquor at Park Avenue and was chased by staff on May 8;

The second teen pleaded guilty to the following offences from 2021:

  • stole three bottles of alcohol, placed one down his pants, from Liquorland in Stockland Rockhampton on June 26;
  • stole two bottles of alcohol from Liquorland in Stockland Rockhampton on August 7;
  • received tainted property – keys to a Toyota Rav4 – on August 9;
  • unlawful use of a motor vehicle on August 9;
  • stole a shirt from City Beach in Stockland Rockhampton on August 11;
  • stole three bottles of alcohol, placed one down his pants, from Liquorland in Stockland Rockhampton on August 13;
  • stole two bottles of alcohol from Liquorland in Stockland Rockhampton on August 21;
  • stole goods from Caltex on Yaamba Road on August 23;
  • stole a car from Norris Hair in Park Avenue on August 25;
  • attempted to break into Big G’s Takeaway on August 25 on Richardson Road, Kawana, by using a piece of concrete to break a window;
  • entered Dragon Gallery Chinese Restaurant on August 25 in Kawana and stole about $100 in cash and coins;
  • stole two bottles of alcohol from Liquorland in Stockland Rockhampton on August 27;
  • stole a shirt from City Beach in Stockland Rockhampton on August 27;
  • stole two bottles of alcohol from Liquorland in Stockland Rockhampton on August 28;
  • unlawful use of a Toyota Landcruiser at Gracemere and Rockhampton on September 2;
  • unlawful use of a Ford Ranger at Yeppoon, crashed it into a light pole, on September 2;
  • stole fuel which was put in the Ford Ranger at Hidden Valley on September 2;
  • stole cash and other items from Jambin Hotel Motel on September 3;
  • unlawful use of a Ford Escape at Yeppoon on September 3;
  • stole fuel which was pumped into the Ford Ranger at the Caltex Truck Stop in North Rockhampton on September 3;
  • unlawful use of a Porsche on September 3;
  • attempted to steal fuel for the Porsche in Yeppoon on September 3;
  • entered a dwelling in Norman Gardens and stole two electronic scooters on September 5;
  • entered a second dwelling in Norman Gardens on September 5 at night with intent to commit an indictable offence by searching through the house;
  • entered a Norman Gardens premises – a car – and searched it with intent to commit an indictable offence on September 5;
  • unlawful use of a Nissan Navara on September 5 by driving it around Rockhampton and Yeppoon;
  • stole perfume from Priceline in Stockland Rockhampton on September 6;
  • assaulted a male security guard by throwing a cup at him at Park Avenue on October 11;
  • assaulted a second security guard by resisting as the guard held him down on October 11;
  • contravene a police requirement to provide his full and correct name on August 30.
