Prosecutors are considering a submission from the solicitor of a woman on an enter dwelling and commit charge after police charged her and failed One Nation candidate over a February incident, a court has heard.

Julia Chayse Reed, 23, and Torin O’Brien, 37, were briefly mentioned in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 10.

The offence was allegedly committed on February 10 in the North Rockhampton suburb of Kawana.

Mr O’Brien was represented by lawyer David Mills, with Ms Reed represented by lawyer Samantha Legrady.

Ms Legrady told the court she had sent a submission to police prosecutions which was still being considered, and asked for the matter to be adjourned.

Mr Mills also asked for the Rockhampton gym owner’s matter be adjourned to keep his matter and Ms Reed’s together.

He said Ms Reed was waiting to hear back from the prosecution in regards to a submission to do with the adult restorative justice program.

Both matters were adjourned to be mentioned again on July 31.

Both Mr O’Brien and Ms Reed are on bail.

Mr O’Brien became a household name after he led a mob of angry locals to the homes of alleged criminal teens in May, 2023.

The move, which went viral online, sparked a tense stand-off with numerous police forced to protect the homes from several outraged locals trying to get inside.

The former candidate for the state seat of Rockhampton in 2020 had made a Facebook appeal for information about the identity of the alleged thieves who had broken into his sister’s home and urged locals to attend a ‘rally’ to organise “neighbourhood watch groups”.

He has since revealed he started a program to help troubled youths.
