An Emu Park man has faced court after police found drugs and ammunition during a raid of his unit.
Brodie Greg Peters was charged after police raided a Hewitt Street unit on November 26.
During the search police found 13.8g marijuana in clip-seal bags, 39 marijuana seeds in a container, four bongs, a grinder and 16 rounds of 22-calibre ammunition.
Police prosecutor Stacey Bain said the 25-year-old told police he found the ammunition in bushland and “brought it home for no apparent reason.”
The court heard Peters had previous drug offending on his criminal history.
Magistrate Cameron Press asked a self-represented Peters what he was doing about his drug use.
Peters replied, “Ah, slowly cutting back.”
Mr Press told Peters he needed to continue with that or face jail.
“If you keep coming back here with drugs, even cannabis, expect a term of imprisonment, right,” Mr Press said.
Peters pleaded guilty in Yeppoon Magistrates Court on December 15 to drug possession, two counts of possessing drug items, and possessing explosives.
He was placed on probation for nine months and fined $400.
No convictions were recorded.
