One person has been seriously injured after two vehicles reportedly collided head-on, causing one to roll, on the Bruce Highway south of Rockhampton on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the Bruce Highway at Bajool, about 200m north of Eight Mile Creek, just after 5.30am.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the crash was a “possible head on collision” and that one vehicle had rolled.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said all persons were out of both vehicles when crews arrived on scene.
According to Queensland Ambulance Service, three people were transported to Rockhampton Hospital, including one person in a serious condition with back, arm and pelvic injuries, and two people in stable conditions with suspected head injuries.
The Bruce Highway was closed, with one lane reopening at 6.15am.
The QFES spokeswoman said one of the vehicles had been loaded onto a tow truck and the other was off the road.
The crash follows a horror crash on the Bruce Highway between a truck carrying an army tank and multiple vehicles on Bobs Creek Bridge at Bajool on July 19 that saw six people hospitalised, three with suspected spinal injuries.
