Police are investigating after a man in his 70s was taken to hospital following an alleged assault in Rockhampton’s north.

A man was taken to hospital on Thursday night after an alleged assault on Rockhampton’s north side.
Paramedics were called to a private address in Kawana about 9.20pm where they found a man in his 70s.
He had suffered a head injury as a result of the alleged assault.
He was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
