Two men were caught in a Rockhampton nightclub toilet cubicle with cocaine. Here’s what happened to one of them when he faced court this week.

Massive cocaine haul seized from cargo ship

A teenager has faced court after he and another man were busted in a Rockhampton nightclub toilet cubicle with cocaine.

Harry William Miskell, 18, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 24 to one count of cocaine possession.

Police prosecutor Stacey Bain said that on August 7, about 12.05am, Miskell and another man were escorted from The Goat nightclub by security.

“Security advised police that the reason the two males were being evicted, was due to them being found in the same toilet cubicle,” Ms Bain said.

During a search, police found two clip-seal bags in Miskell’s wallet - both contained cocaine (total weight 2g).

The court heard Miskell had no similar offending on his history.

Solicitor Mirren Smith said Miskell was a concreter who made “a stupid decision” on the night he was caught with the drugs.

Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale fined Miskell $300 and she did not record a conviction.
