Geoffrey Ernest White charged for possessing drugs, ammunition

A worker for Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads has charges before the court in relation to drugs and explosives.

An employee of Queensland’s Department of Main Roads and Transport is facing two charges relating to the search of his home, it can be revealed.

Geoffrey Ernest White, 53, is before Rockhampton Magistrates Court charged with one count of possessing a dangerous drug and one of illegal possession of explosives.

According to court documents, Mr White is accused of possessing marijuana at a Frenchville residence on September 3, 2023.

He is also accused of possessing ammunition without a permit on the same day at the same location.

The court documents included an email from his employer and the police charge sheets stated Mr White was a plant operator.

The file also contained his traffic record.

No pleas have been entered for the drugs and ammunition charges.

They will next be mentioned in court on March 20.
